Bethesda covered outdoor room

This Bethesda build is an outdoor room in the full sense: a cedar-framed pavilion on masonry piers, roofed and guttered, with a full-height stone fireplace and chimney anchoring one end.

The fireplace is laid in wall block with a raised hearth and a timber mantel. Seat walls in the same block wrap the paver patio and carry a run of counter, so the space works for a handful of people or a crowd without any furniture being moved.

A bar area and ceiling fan finish the covered section, and the paver patio runs out beyond the roofline to keep the open half of the terrace usable in good weather.
